Dr. Asma Hyder brings over 25 years of experience in economics research, academic leadership, and national policy-making. A recognized expert in labor economics, gender economics, and development policy, she has held senior positions spanning academia, government, and international research institutions across four continents.
She has served as Professor and Dean of the School of Economics and Social Sciences at IBA Karachi, Pakistan's premier business school, and held a distinguished appointment as Member for Social Sector and Devolution at Pakistan's Planning Commission, contributing to national development strategy.
Internationally, Dr. Hyder has held positions at the University of Pennsylvania and visiting fellowships at the London School of Economics, UCLA's Institute for Research on Labor and Employment, University of Sussex, and Carleton University.
